Tree Thinker - Photo of my son taken in Kauaii
Raised in California, I spent most of my life there until I moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, in 2007. I began enjoying photography at the age of 8 and by age 10, I was in the dark room with my father, James Bryan, making black and white prints.
Photographing the outdoors has always been my passion. An education in engineering and biology has enabled me to see the incredible design in nature around us. The best I can do is to reflect well the beauty and design in the things that God has made.
I enjoy photographing a wide range of subjects including: landscapes, Native American events, macro wildlife, and Oklahoma weather. However, I most enjoy shooting Oklahoma skies and the prairie.
A number of my photos have been published, including the Pawhuska Barn photo that was selected by the international Nikon user forum as the Best of Nikonians HDR photo of 2011. Other published works include the covers of Journal of Experimental Biology and textbook, Architectural Conservation in Europe and the Americas. Photos have also been shown in Outdoor Oklahoma Magazine and weather photos have been shown on Tulsa 8 KTUL and Tulsa 2 KJRH.
